Lynda Barry reads from Girls & Boys in the 1988 documentary Comic Books Confidential
God I love Lynda Barry. She’s pretty much ruleage. I’ve bought a couple of her anthologies lately The Fun House and most recent Ond Hundred Demons. I’ve cried during a few parts because her shit is so visceral while deep and honest. She offers a writing workshop at the Omega Institute coming up in July of 2007. She doesn’t have a website but there are a lot of fansites out there.
sound creates shape: as i was talking on the phone to my mom i was clicking around and closing some windows that i had open on youtube. she began talkin about experiments with sound and shape and as she did i pressed play on a video. this is the video that started playing…which is exactly what she was talking about. she told me they did this experiment with mud as well…which starts to great 3D shapes.
