SaraTeaTime.com Podcast Restart & New News!

Hi Everyone!  I know the Sara Tea Express can seem chugging along (or from what my friends tell me) to the point where everyone just sees the flag wavings but don’t know the behind the scenes so I hear you loud & clear…I’m going to share now!

This week my SaraTeaTime.com Podcast is restarting.  I started this podcast a year ago when I ended up being on bedrest from an unexpected trip to the hospital.  I had left LA abruptly due to family reasons & about a month later I myself ended up in the hospital.  I went home to family to renew, expecting about a week recovery then heading back to Chicago to re figure out life again after the tragedy of losing one of my best friends & family member.  As life had it the physical recovery took about two months so after a few weeks in of sitting & not being able to walk I found myself needing inspiration.  The previous month I had to walk away from my amazing gig at Indie1031.com as I was no longer living in Los Angeles.  I had been mulling over the idea for an interview/talk podcast about a year or so but wasn’t sure how to start.  This seemed like the perfect time, but I kept waffling about WHEN to start, WHICH week, etc.  After an dream where a famous comedian (no names!) was encouraging me not to go on the air  I woke up the next day & decided to launch my new podcast that next day (not joking, I actually get motivated by isht like this).  With that decision I was up & running.   That Summer I had a 9 weeks of amazing podcasts…and then I recovered!  I returned to Chicago & had no studio to do my podcast that had inspired me so much.  I had to trust the circumstance for the time being & let it go.  You see, this podcast is broadcasted live & recorded via a phone line.  With cell phones being unreliable and frankly bad sound quality I had been using a landline to record & I no longer had access to one.  At the time I was staying at an art collective, didn’t know if I was signing a lease etc etc so I wasn’t sure what to do next.  Fast forward a year (now) and I decided to setup my Chicago based studio.  Thus…SaraTeaTime.com relaunches!  Yay!

This weeks guest is the amazing Ilana Glazer from Broad City!  I highly encourage you to head over to SaraTeaTime.com to watch a few videos & keep track of things.

Also this week here in Chicago I will be stopping by the RyeBreadRadio.com studios for an interview.  I’ll post the link up here post interview but in the meantime stop by their site & mark your calendar!
