Refreshing! Also my homies Hard Place killed it as well @ the Smell showcase. Eff yea. I didn't take photos but they exist in my head and they are colorful and vivid moving images.
Anyhot I'm back in LA and very happy getting geared up for some April, Foolz there's plenty on the calender and the one popping up the soonest is some serious throwdown at La Cita with an intense and awesome lineup:

Back from LA people. Saw the fires in the Hollywood hills and experienced a microburst my first day there. Hit some overpriced thrift shops and randomly got photographed a lot (example one & two). Saw Smalltown DJs who I missed when I was down at SXSW for obvious reasons like throwing a party and busting my ass. I'm kind of tired of busting ass. I need a vacay. Thats why I'm going to Florida.
LA is super magical tho...forreals. I randomly ran into so many people and just had a plain old awesome time. I hope to go back asap. I leave in the AM for Florida and will be hitting up Miami if you are around drop me a line...

I'm back!! SXSW RULED SO HARD! My party was just last night...and I got some AMAZING NEWS! Earlier this week I was thinking to myself I should invite someone to my showcase that I would never think to invite. I decided that person was Perez Hilton. My feeling was confirmed to write to him when I saw he was coming to Austin. He covers some bands I think deserve attention (i.e. bands I love) and I had a feeling he would love Yo Majesty (see more from last entry!). Either way I just went to go get my daily dose of Perez and HE WENT TO ONE OF THEIR SHOWS, took pictures and WROTE ABOUT THEM! Makes me SO PROUD. These ladies totally deserve it. Oh but also!! I ran into Perez on the street and took a picture! I added some magical bling to it cause...I think it is just so necessary:
On the way back to Denver I saw Peaches in passing but with her I noticed one of the Roadie to Go dudes. If you see them on tour buy one of their TShirts and support their mission of awesome! In the airport we saw tons of Denverites/press/musicians heading back home from a mindbending adventure.
Sarah Cass took tons of great pictures at the party and I can't wait to share them with you! She is amazing! The lineup was amazing! I am using lots of exclamation points!!!! You know why? Cause I'm FUCKING HAPPY!

Wow...three months into the new year. Time friggen FLIES! Just so you know I also keep a few other places updated with my adventures...some a bit more personal than others. I have a livejournal account as well as my blog on myspace. Once again...feel free to add me on myspace and say hi or something. I sometimes find myself updating those more. Right now I'm getting ready for SXSW. Actually I'm first getting ready for NYC which I leave for TOMORROW. Basically I'm heading East to do a reading for the play 1001. We had a great run here in Denver and from all the good press (Variety Feb. 4th, 2007) other theater companies/directors/film producers are interested in the fine stories Jason Grote has to share. Also in other awesome news I heard that the headliner for my SXSW showcase YO MAJESTY will happen to be performing in nyc this weekend and djing with is my friend who hosted me up in Portland (who now lives in New York), Neighborhood DJ. I feel like worlds are colliding and my universe is getting smaller. All of the nice friends I've made over the past ten years plus are coming back together and are able to work together...which gets me really excited for the showcase I'll be hosting down at SXSW on Saturday March 17th @ the Peacock Lounge. Hello people...miss me? I've missed you little box o mine on the internet. You see I've been moving. And traveling. And working my butt off. Is there enough Sara T. to go around? YES...I'm implementing a new system to organize myself. I could insert a joke here but seriously...I've had to refocus things because well...I have a lot of stuff on my platter. So instead of inserting a joke I'll insert my excel document tracking everything I'm doing with color coded sections. But not really. Because...well...there might be something secret on it.
Since we've last spoken I have been to Las Vegas and Michigan. In Vegas I bought for next season at Chielle and I'm super excited to be sharing it with you. I'm also currently working with Mademoiselle Modiste on an exclusive collaboration between Chielle and myself...I'm super excited because, well, she is ruling.
Also I'm currently working with Friends In Stereo on some stuff in the studio. What exactly? We'll unveil it come December. In the meantime Colin and Reggie have graciously transferred some of my vinyl so I can OFFICIALLY get a mix to y'all. Not a radio show, but a club mix. Are you peeing your pants? Cause its gonna be ill. Lot's up my sleeves and trust me my sleeves are totally Stevie Nicks baggy.

Clotheshorse show this Friday the 4th! What is Clotheshorse? Its my band. You didn't know I have a band? Well that is no surprise...we are on year number six and have had a rotating cast of members but don't play out that often. In fact our last show was a year ago with Weird War. This Friday will just be me and my guitar. And of course Bad Weather California and The Places /Amy Annelle. I'm very happy to be playing with them. We will be providing cupcakes and sweet tea...which is very good news. (for me and you) :)

Holy snap: color me exhausted. Just got back from moving the ENTIRE Chielle store in under four hours. Public props and super thanks to the crew of friends who made it all happen. Of course super thanks to everyone who has supported us, spread the word and in general shaped Chielle into what it is today. If you don't know what I'm talking about Chielle is a store I started two years ago in Denver. We just moved to 3333 E. Colfax and I'm exciting to be sharing the hood with a slew of my favorite local entrepreneurs. Word of mouth is what has kept us alive and I would totally appreciate any passing on of our move to anyone you think would be into it.

Just got back earlier this week from the Michigan. I managed to get up to Detroit from the country for a day (yes, the country! no phone service in the country). Hit Peoples Records, my favorite. Without my trips to Detroit I would be seriously illin in a bad way for records. Welcome home to me. I just got back from boston where i spent my monies at karma loop a sick store with plenty of gear to make me happy. Sadly they did not have the Reebok pumps in my size *e-cries* guess I'll survive without them. I'm on the manhunt for some hi tops we'll see if I can make this happen before the end of 2006. i also got to see exene do her thing again at TT and the Bears where I realized after I arrived that I had been there four/five years ago to see chicks on speed. I dug boston on the forreals tip so hopefully I'll be back soon. I mean i did use to beg my mom for a three story doll townhome so my dolls could live (in my imagination) in Boston. So yea, seriously I just remembered that tidbit this weekend.
It feels super good to be home and i've got some stuff on the platter including two pieces of my artwork in a show this weekend called Feminine at Hooked on Colfax. this show opens on Saturday April 1st @ 7pm so i'll be there with bells on sipping on cognac. or wine. whatever.
One of my favorite bands are playing this Saturday in Denver: An Albatross . I could go on and on about them or you could just go to the friggen show. I think that's the best idea. Other than that I've been drumming my head off with a new band in the works. Super psyched.

VEGAS! oh vegas
you glittery piece of shit.
i went out to Vegas for the MAGIC convention. no i don't play cards and it wasn't
about making you disappear it was about CLOTHING! i go there and choose next seasons whatnot
for all of you who shop at my store Chielle. i met a few real Vegas types from a cab driver who picked me off the side of the road when i flagged him down (you're not supposed to do this in Vegas? you get fined?) who told me about his past as an in house drummer, card dealer and has promised me backstage passes next time i come out. so basically, how can a girl refuse?

This weekend I'll be heading up for the X Games in Aspen, CO. If you're going up drop me a line! I heard Thievery Corporation is gonna be playing a live set which will be cool since I've only seen their dj set and that was at the Guggenheim. It was a great experience but not the best sound (apparently they don't allow for much bass, bass breaks the art's hearts) I'll be bringing my records up as well so I can let you know where I'll be at if you drop me a line.
